The software industry is fickle and competitive, particularly at the consumer level.  Creating a plan that infused tangible value for users was an involving strategic process.

Message objectives for the consumer software market required innovative copy, graphics and media.  Promoting a compelling message about database-driven website creation for regular PC users was exciting and effective.

Branding and Corporate Identity

The Updatability brand we created was under the Proxiva identity led to significant traction with numerous leading software distributors, online partners and co-developers.

Product Development

How does a database-driven web creation tool work easily for everyday PC users, and how is it better than Front Page, Dream Weaver, Net Objects Fusion, and the like?  We were put to the test.

Training and CRM

Customers need tremendous levels of training and support in the software business.  We developed the system, tools and collateral that made this effective.

Funding Documentation

Software development and marketing is a front-loaded, capital intensive undertaking that required strong and defendable document support, particular when entering into dialog with venture capitalists.

Result

The company achieved its phase one funding targets, reached beta test levels for its Updatability software package and engaged proof-of-concept clients with a strong tech support and CRM system.  At the end of the day, the company founder chose to "take the company in new directions," and is now an emerging leader in ecommerce cataloging.  ResultOne continues to consult on the project.
